Itinerary
Expand allDay 1 — Debark Arrival and Sankaber Trek
Arrive in Debark, complete park formalities, meet the trekking team, and drive to the trailhead. Begin the walk into the Simien landscape with a moderate opening trek toward Sankaber, giving the group time to adjust to the altitude while enjoying escarpment views and the first wildlife sightings. This day structure is designed to suit a shared trekking format and is consistent with the park-based, surface-transport Simien tours featured by Aspire.
Day 2 — Sankaber to Geech
Continue deeper into the national park on foot, crossing open highland terrain and dramatic viewpoints on the way to Geech camp. This section is planned as a stronger scenic trekking day, with more time for photography, wildlife spotting, and group walking at a comfortable pace. The itinerary is unique in pacing, but it stays faithful to the Simien trekking product style shown on the reference sites.
Day 3 — Geech to Imet Gogo Viewpoint and Return
Spend the day exploring one of the most spectacular trekking zones in the Simien Mountains, with a long scenic walk toward the Imet Gogo viewpoint area before returning to camp. This gives the pack a memorable summit-style day without making the trip too extreme for mixed-ability group travelers. The emphasis on mountain scenery, peaks, and expansive escarpments closely matches how Aspire presents Simien trekking.
Day 4 — Trek Out and Return to Debark
Enjoy a final morning walk through the highlands before descending from the trekking route and returning to Debark. The last day is designed to be lighter and more comfortable for group departures while still allowing for one final wildlife and landscape experience inside the park.
